The Mint's free Wednesday evenings make a shorter Charlotte art visit possible
Both museum locations waive admission Wednesday from 5–9 p.m., offering a useful window for returning to a few works at a time.

A museum visit does not have to cover every gallery to feel complete. The Mint Museum's free Wednesday evenings give Charlotte residents a recurring opportunity to spend time with a smaller selection of work, making a return visit easier to imagine than an all-at-once tour.
The museum currently offers free admission from 5–9 p.m. each Wednesday at both locations: Mint Museum Uptown, 500 South Tryon Street, and Mint Museum Randolph, 2730 Randolph Road. Check the current calendar and exhibition information before choosing a location or planning around a specific program.
The Mint also provides a free Bloomberg Connects digital guide with content about work at both sites. It can help visitors explore context at their own pace. Bring headphones if you intend to use audio in a shared gallery, and give yourself time to look at the object before letting the guide direct all your attention.
Decide on one question for the evening: how a material is used, how two works handle the same subject or what detail changes when you look again. Review parking and accessibility arrangements separately from museum admission. A modest plan can leave enough time to revisit a work that caught your attention rather than rushing onward to finish the building.
